Josh Beckett Extension

HOWARD MEGDAL: There are lots of ways for me to show why I am such a big fan of Boston’s decision to sign Josh Beckett to a four-year, $68 million contract. But I think the easiest one is a comparison to the four-year, $80 million deal Roy Halladay signed with the Phillies- one most people feel was less than Halladay would have earned on the free agent market.
